Minnesota Timberwolves felt the LA Lakers‘ power in Sunday’s last NBA game. The purple and gold trounced the guests from Minneapolis, 127-91.

The champions set the pace right away in the first period, solving that part of the match 40-23. The LAL continued in the same manner throughout the second, heading for the break with a 67-45 advantage.

It was mostly due to Kyle Kuzma, who had all of his 20 points during the first half. He was unstoppable, even though he began the game at the power forward position instead of injured Anthony Davis.

LeBron scored 18 points, with 9 boards and five assists. Marc Gasol, Montrezl Harrell, and Talen Horton-Tucker all had 12 points each. Dennis Schroder dropped 11. Gasol had an all-around game with seven rebounds and 8 assists

All the Lakers’ players except for Kostas Antetokounmpo managed to score some points in tonight’s match.

On the other side, the Timberwolves played without their leading star, Karl-Anthony Towns, who has trouble with a dislocated wrist. This could be a nasty injury for one of the best players in the league, which is pretty bad news for the boys from Minnesota.

At the moment, there is no prognosis on his return, and what makes the trouble here is the fact that he already had a difficult injury of the same wrist.

The No.1 pick from this year’s draft, Anthony Edwards, had a team-high 15 points in 29 minutes, yet once again with a poor shooting percentage, 6-for-21, and just one for nine from downtown.

D’Angelo Russell had four points in 21 minutes with astonishing seven turnovers, shooting 2-for-7. The Lakers were all over the young guard, making Russell feel uncomfortable with each step he made on the floor. Naz Reid scored 11 points and Jake Layman 10. All of the Timberwolves players scored points.

Overall, Minnesota had a very poor shooting night, hitting only 36.9% of their shots, 38-for-103, and just 17.1% for three, 6-for-35. On the other side, the Lakers were 55.6%, 50-for-90.

Timberwolves stay in LA to face the Clippers, who suffered the worst loss in their franchise history this Sunday night. That game is on Tuesday, and following the same, Minnesota heads back home to meet the Wizards and the Nuggets.
