After a wild ending, the Pittsburgh Steelers defeated Tennessee Titans on the road, 27-24, keeping their record perfect. Mike Tomlin’s boys were under heavy pressure, but with a little bit of luck, they left Nissan Stadium unbeaten.

Stephen Gostkowski missed a field goal from 45 yards to tie the game and force overtime. After hitting a 51-yard FG earlier during the match, this came as a massive surprise, and even some of the Steelers’ players couldn’t hide their shock after seeing the kick going wide.

Up until that moment, Titans scored 17 consecutive points, and were fired-up, intercepting Ben Roethlisberger three times, pretty much dominating the field. Yet, on that crucial possession, Pittsburgh’s defense once again showed its fantastic mental strength, erasing all the previous minuses and stopping the hosts when needed the most.
After being up 27-7 early in the third period, the visiting side just blacked out, as they lost control of the game, especially in the offense.
Once mentioning Roethlisberger, he had 268 yards, 32-of-49 with two touchdown passes, and three interceptions. Diontae Johnson caught nine of those throws for 80 yards and two scores. JuJu Smith-Schuster had 85 yards, while Eric Ebron ended the night with 50.
Unlike previous games, the Steelers had a subpar running game. James Conner rushed 20 times for 82 yards, and all other players added 12 more yards on the ground. Benny Snell had a one-yard TD on one run.
The rushing game was of very little use to Tennessee as well. Derrick Henry also had 20 snaps, posting 75 yards and one score. AJ Brown had a spectacular day with 153 yards, one touchdown, which was 73 yards long. Corey Davis, too, had one TD for 35 yards.
Ryan Tannehill completed 18 of his 30 passes, for 220 yards and two touchdowns. He didn’t have any interceptions, was rational as always, but that wasn’t enough for his side to win.

This was the first loss for his Titans (5-1) since the season began. The next stop for Mike Vrabel’s team will be Cincinnati and the Bengals, who, although have a pretty bad record, always make things hard for the rivals. After that, Tennessee plays at home against the Chicago Bears.
-->Pittsburgh (6-0) meets their biggest rivals, the Baltimore Ravens, and that will be, without a doubt, the toughest match for this side so far. Upon closing the business with Lamar Jackson’s crew, they go to Dallas to play against the Cowboys.
