The Green Bay Packers demolished Houston Texans tonight, 35-20, easily forgetting last week’s loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Packs posted a big road win, which kept them at the No.1 place in the NFC North division.

Davante Adams was the absolute star of this clash, with the Green Bay’s wide receiver catching 13 passes for 196 yards. Adams also had two touchdowns following Rodgers’ tosses, one spectacular 45 yards long.

Adams opened the show, scoring on the first drive, with a three-yard catch in the endzone, and after that added two more TDs until the break.

The Texans refused to go down without a fight, especially Deshaun Watson, who was giving his best, and the reward came in the third quarter when he threw a three-yard TD pass to David Johnson.

However, the Rodgers-Adams connection immediately struck back, and the Packs were back to a 21-point lead again, 28-7. Texans scored two FGs, with Ka’imi Fairbairn making both, and added Will Fuller’s TD. In the meantime, Jamaal Williams rushed for a one-yard TD.

Green Bay’s rusher had 19 carries for 77 yards and a score, with 37 receiving yards in four catches. He and Adams were two of the busiest players in the Packers’ offense tonight.

Jace Sternberger and Malik Taylor both had a receiving TD each, and Aaron Rodgers perfectly organized the offense as usual. The two-time MVP had four TD passes, was 23-of-34 for 283 yards without an interception or a sack.

On the other side, Watson was 29-of-39 for two scores and 309 yards. He suffered three sacks, and rushed for 38 yards. Without a doubt, the Texans’ QB was the sole person on the team that showed some resistance to the guests from Wisconsin.

Former Packer, Randall Cobb, had 8 catches for 95 yards, Brandin Cooks 7 for 60. David Johnson added 43 through the air and 42 on the ground.

Houston has two road games coming up, the first one in Jacksonville against the Jaguars, and the other in Cleveland, where they face the Browns. At the moment, the team is 1-6, with only theoretical chances for the playoffs.

The Packers have a divisional meeting against the Vikings at Lambeau next week, and after that head to San Francisco to meet with the 49ers, who defeated them twice during the previous year, the last time in the NFC Championship Game. Right now, the Packs are 5-1.
