Marvin Vettori and Kevin Holland meet this Sunday night in the headliner of UFC on ABC 2. This will be a middleweight bout that can affect the top 10 landscape massively, and that might even give us a name for the title-eliminator fight if there would be one in the near future.

UFC Vegas 16: Jack Hermansson vs. Marvin Vettori Preview and Prediction

Marvin Vettori (16-4-1) -315

The Italian Dream, as the fans call him, has four consecutive victories and intends to dethrone Israel Adesanya and have his vengeance for a controversial split decision loss he suffered against the now champ back in 2018.

Since that failure, Vettori posted victories against Cezar Ferreira, Andrew Sanchez, Karl Roberson, and Jack Hermansson.

Vettori is a skillful and tough competitor, who knows to fight on the ground and while standing, and has a very strong chin. His improvement over the past few years has been great, and we expect him to show us some new moves on Saturday.

Kevin Holland (21-6) +260

The TrailBlazer stepped in on a short notice (10 days), wanting to erase his recent loss against Derek Brunson and bounce back in the race for the title shot. Was this a smart move of the No.10 in the division? We think now.

Holland would lose to Brunson because of his light frame and inability to keep the distance between himself and the veteran who was more than dominant on the ground.

He is a fast and energetic fighter, who knows how to hurt the rival with quick combinations and creative moves, but as we said, Holland has to add a few pounds to challenge the best in the division.

Prediction and Pick

Vettori needs to adapt to the new opponent because Holland and Till don’t have the same style of fight, which might be a problem for the Italian. As for Holland, he too has his own issues, so we might say that both guys have difficulties and some negative factors coming into this battle.

From this point of view, the best possible solution would be to bet on Vettori’s decision win. Why? Solely because of his raw power. The Italian can eat a few punches before getting his hands on the TrailBlazer. And once that happens, the result would probably be the same as against Brunson. Plus, Vettori is a much better striker than Brunson, so we might see some damage coming from that as well.
