It is a seismic move that changes the landscape of the entire NBA, introducing another super-team that will be a serious candidate for winning the title.

Brooklyn made a trade with the Cavaliers, sending Jarret Allen and Tarean Prince for the 2024 second-round pick and 2022 first-rounder that was later shipped to Houston along with three unprotected first-round draft picks 2022, 2024, and 2026.

The Rockets received pick swaps in 2021, 2023, 2025, and 2027, and Caris LeVert, who ended up in Indiana Pacers with Houston’s 2023 second-round pick. In exchange, the Pacers sent Victor Oladipo to Texas, who will now form one of the most athletic backcourt lines in the NBA with John Wall. The franchise from Toyota Center also acquired Dante Exum from the Cavs and Rodions Kurcus from the Nets.

Harden wasn’t happy in Houston for quite some time. After years of trying to win the title with the Rockets, he would finally give up this summer. Following the campaign’s finish, the Beard informed the team executives that he wants to be traded. Even though they didn’t want to grant this request, it seems that Harden’s will to get out of Houston was just too strong, forcing his way out in the end. One fantastic, yet unsuccessful period for this franchise is over.

The new one is about to start, with several All-Star players on the roster, Wall, Cousins, Oladipo, and a few excellent players around them, Gordon, Wood, Tucker, etc. With all those first-round picks, this franchise has solid assets for additionally strengthening the squad in the next year or so.

On the other side, the show begins for the Nets, who are now in the middle of attention. Not only due to Harden’s arrival, but because of the constant problems Kyrie Irving makes.

The former champion with LeBron and the Cavs stopped playing recently due to personal reasons and reportedly made his teammates and head coach Steve Nash very unhappy. Some suggest that his time in Brooklyn is slowly reaching its end and that the board will either release or trade him away.

As for the player himself, he didn’t show any will to explain his actions or clarify certain situations.
