WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs was fantastic, filled with spectacular battles, and several incredible moments that amazed all those who decided to buy this pay-per-view event.
Roman Reigns kept his Universal title, beating Kevin Owens with a little help of Jey Uso, Drew McIntyre defeated AJ Styles and the Miz, while Randy Orton set archenemy “The Fiend,” Bray Wyatt on fire.
The Universal championship match was filled with violence and all sorts of crafty moves, which undoubtedly made this one of the most spectacular events of the year. Owens decided to avoid the introductions and formal stuff, in order to attack his rival right away, using a surprise factor.
It did stun Reigns a little bit, but shortly after, Uso showed up to help. Still, in the beginning, Owens was dominant, harassing both of the rivals, often using chairs and all sorts of items he could get his hands on or throw his opponents at.
On several occasions, he was so close to getting that belt, which hanged above the ladders, but in the end, it was Reigns who defended the title, and retained his Universal championship.
In the WWE championship contest, Drew McIntyre proved his dominance outclassing AJ Styles and the Mizz. It was the opening match of the night, with these guys immediately setting the entire TLC event tone.
At one point, it seemed that Styles’s tactics, which included chopping McIntyre’s leg with all sorts of weapons and kicks, would give result, but the stubborn Scott wouldn’t back out.
During the fight, The Mizz cashed the Money in the Bank, using the fact that both McIntyre and Styles are on the ground, unable to prevent him. He even tried to climb up the ladder, but Styles’ bodyguard, Omos, abruptly stopped him from getting his hands on the belt. In the end, the Mizz was without both the title and the money.
In the end, it was McIntyre who won the match.
Randy Orton’s intention to destroy The Fiend may have been fulfilled last night. In the Firefly Inferno match, the Viper not only defeated Fiend, but also decided to pour some gasoline over the rival and burn him following the victory.-->
Without any questions it was the highlight of this spectacular night, with the entire event going far above the expectations.
