NBA announced its All-NBA selections last night, revealing the name of 15 players who found themselves in three best lineups in the league.
The biggest news is that LeBron James became the all-time leader with All-NBA selections. King James now has 16, eclipsing three sounding names, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Tim Duncan, and Kobe Bryant who have one selection fewer.
Besides LBJ, the All-NBA first team consists of Milwaukee’s Giannis Antotekounmpo, James Harde from the Rockets, Anthony Davis also from the Lakers, and young Luka Doncic from the Dallas Mavs.

For James, this was the 13th All-NBA first team, For Harden sixth, Davis has four, Giannis two, and Luka found himself in this company for the first time.
We are still waiting to see who will win the NBA MVP awards for the current regular campaign, but according to the majority of experts and analysts, it seems that Giannis will earn back-to-back honors.
The Lakers’ duo is the first one to be elected in the first team since the 2007 season when Phoenix Suns’ Steve Nash and Amare Stoudemire did the same thing. Also, for the first time since Shaq and Kobe, the purple and gold have two of the five best players in the NBA.
Denver’s Nikola Jokic leads the All-NBA second team, along with Chris Paul from the OKC Thunder, Damian Lillard from the Trail Blazers, Toronto’s Pascal Siakam, and Kawhi Leonard from the LA Clippers.
The third lineup is Ben Simmons from the 76ers, Rockets’ Russell Westbrook, Celtics’ Jayson Tatum, Jimmy Butler from Miami, and Rudy Gobert from Utah.

Absence of several big names this season opened a chance for the new ones to emerge. Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant, and Kyrie Irving were almost regular All-NBA players, but their injuries snapped that streak. Apart from the Nets’ point guard, who had 20 games, and Steph Curry, who appeared in five contests, the other two stars didn’t play a single match.
Also, there was a big reaction of the NBA community because Milwaukee’s Khris Middleton wasn’t selected to be an All-NBA. He had more points than both Simmons and Westbrook, but because of the ballot’s rules, the Bucks second star missed out on this big honor.
