Four English Premier League games took place today. The most important one was between Brighton and Arsenal, in which the Gunners suffered a loss.

It was 2-1 for the hosts at the Amex stadium, who scored the winning goal in the fifth minute of the injury time, through Neil Maupay. The same player was in the middle of attention earlier because he injured Arsenal’s goalkeeper, Bernd Leno.

Some of the visiting players wanted to get into a fight with him following the final whistle, but fortunately, the situation remained calm.

Nicolas Pepe scored the opener, and Dunk delivered the initial goal for the hosts. Arsenal is 10th now, with two straight defeats in just a few days, while Brighton sits 15th, five points from the relegation zone.

Their chances for the Champions League are now brought back to only theory, after a solid situation before the pause.

One other team improved its chances to play in the most prominent competition in Europe next season. Wolverhampton won against West Ham in London and reached Manchester United in the fifth position. West Ham is near the danger area following this contest, and they need to start collecting some points; otherwise, the Championship would be near. Right now, Bournemouth,h who lost to Crystal Palace today, and the Hammers have 27 points, with the Cherries being lower-placed team because of the goal-difference.

Palace won 0-2 at the Vitality Stadium, solving the entire matter in 23 minutes. Luka Milivojevic netted in 12th minute, and Ayew in 23rd. After that, it was all a routine for the Eagles to protect the lead.

And in the opening event of the day, Watford and Leicester played 1-1 with both goals coming in the stoppage time. The Foxes got the lead with Ben Chilwell’s superb strike in the 90th minute, and 180 seconds later, Dawson leveled the score, snapping one very precious point for the Hornets.
