Patrick Ewing-led Hoyas had an incredible game against Creighton, beating the 17th-seeded team 73-48, thus securing the first NCAA tournament appearance in five years.

It couldn’t be better for Ewing, who would win the title at Madison Square Garden, the place where he also wrote NBA history. His Hoyas had a superb ending of the first half, making a run during which they scored 23 points while allowing just two on the other side.

After such an impressive sequence, Georgetown came out even more fired up, making another big burst, outscoring the favorites 16-3 at the start of the second 20 minutes. This pretty much solved all the questions about the winner, and the Hoyas were routine until the end.

Ewing became the first person in the program’s history to be the most outstanding player in the tournament and the tournament winner as both the player and a head coach.

Chudier Bile scored 19 points for the winners, Jahvon Blair had 18 with these two guys hitting seven of Hoyas’ 10 threes. Qudus Wahad had 11 with 12 boards and DanteHarris scored 10.

Marcus Zegarowski had 17 points with four assists and boards for the losing side, while Alex O’Connell added 11.

No.13 Texas Longhorns beat No.12 Oklahoma State Cowboys in the Big 12 finals, 91-86, after one exciting match. The finish was highly interesting, with both teams visiting the foul line frequently, but Texas had more nerves, in the end, winning its first conference title.

Matt Coleman had a career-high 30 buckets, shooting 10-for-14 from the field, and 4-for-5 from deep. Jericho Sims added 21 buckets, while Andrew Jones had 13, being perfect from the free-throw line, making all 10 attempts.

Cade Cunningham dropped 29 for the Cowboys on the other side,

Georgia Tech outplayed Florida State Seminoles, the 15th-seeded team in the ACC tournament finals, 80-75. The Yellow Jackets had a very balanced attack, with Michael Devoe scoring 20 points, Jordan Usher and Moses Wright having 15 each.

Among the Seminoles, Scottie Barnes had 21 off the bench, and MJ Walker added 15.

No.23 Colorado Buffaloes lost the Pac-12 finals against the Oregon State Beavers, 70-68, which came as a massive surprise for many. The Beavers managed to notch a narrow win and lift their first-ever conference tournament title.
