The Milwaukee Bucks host the Minnesota Timberwolves, who suffered significant changes in the past 24 hours. Ryan Saunders is fired after more than two years, and the franchise from Target Center awaits Chris Finch from Toronto to replace him. The Bucks need to use these turbulences in Minnesota to post an easy win, which would bring them closer to 76ers and Nets atop the East.

Minnesota Timberwolves +520

The T-Wolves are in a mess, and with seven wins and 24 losses, sit last in the entire league. They suffered four consecutive defeats, and have just one victory in the previous nine games. On top of that, the Wolves have three more road matches to play in the next few days.

Karl-Anthony Towns was looking good in the last match against the Knicks, with 27 points and 15 boards, but he needs to have one more player besides him with 20+points. Both Anthony Edwards and Malik Beasley failed to show up, delivering 12 and 6 points, respectively.

The foul-trouble is another problem Finch will need to take care of, with the Knick shooting 38 free throws, hitting 31.

Milwaukee Bucks -750

After a tough stretch that saw them losing five consecutive matches, Milwaukee bounced back with two wins, over the OKC Thunder and the Sacramento Kings. Mike Budenholzer’s side doesn’t have much space for calculating, and they need to start winning in series; otherwise, the no.1 spot in the East will go to either 76ers or the Nets.

The biggest problem for the Bucks is that Giannis doesn’t have propper support, especially in the attack. Yes, he is the best player in the league, but it is not normal that in 31 matches, he has a team-high in points on 27 occasions.

In the majority of events, he had team-highs in rebounds and assists as well. Many fans wonder why the Bucks have problems with the salary cap if the remaining part of the crew isn’t contributing. Why is the team paying that much to all those underachieving players (not counting Middleton)?

Well, that is a million-dollar question.

Pick

The spread on the guests from Minneapolis is -11, and once looking only at Bucks’ wins in recent times, this should be a piece of cake for them. All but one of their victories this season were with 10 or more points. So the logical conclusion here is to bet on the hosts to cover the spread.

Pick: Bucks -11
