Once again, the president of the UFC was in the middle of attention, as he revealed the cards for the UFC events set for June 20 and 27.

White also stated that more fights are going to be added to these lists, and highlighted two main events.

The UFC on ESPN 11, or UFC on ESPN: Blaydes vs. Volkov, is set for June 20. The bout between Curtis Blaydes and Alexander Volkov is the main event of the night, and according to many whoever wins this one will have a massive chance to be a title-challenger in the near future.

White stated that the No.1 on the challenger’s list is Frances Ngannou, who earned that right after smashing Jairzinho Roznestruik recently, in a match that lasted for just 20 seconds. Also, White added that the Predator defeated Blaydes and that is one more reason for him to have the advantage.

After losing to Ngannou, Blaydes won three in a row, the last on this January once he TKOd Junior Dos Santos. Volkov meanwhile, bounced back following his defeat against Derrick Lewis and beat Greg Hardy via unanimous decision. Other fights on the main card are

  • Featherweight Josh Emmett vs. Shane Burgos
  • Women’s Bantamweight Raquel Pennington vs. Marion Reneau
  • Welterweight Lyman Good vs. Belal Muhammad
  • Catchweight (160 lbs) Jim Miller vs. Roosevelt Roberts

UFC on ESPN 12 or UFC on ESPN: Poirier vs. Hooker is between the former lightweight interim champion Dustin Poirier and Dan Hooker.

Poirier lost his last bout to Khabib Nuramgomedov back in September 2019, after beating several big names, such as Anthony Pettis, Justin Gaethje, Eddie Alvarez and Max Holloway. On the other side, the Hangman, as the fans call him, has one loss in the last eight fights, and looks pretty sharp coming into this one.

These two guys ensure an excellent fight here, and the rest of the main card looks promising as well.

  • Mike Perry vs. Mickey Gall
  • Middleweight Ian Heinisch vs. Brendan Allen
  • Heavyweight Gian Villante vs. Maurice Greene
  • Women’s Bantamweight Aspen Ladd vs. Sara McMann
  • Lightweight Luis Peña vs. Khama Worthy
  • Heavyweight Philipe Lins vs. Tanner Boser
  • Catchweight (150 lbs.) Sean Woodson vs. Kyle Nelson

Both these events will take place at UFC Apex Facility in Nevada, Las Vegas.
