The UFC Fight Night: Blaydes vs. Volkov is only two days away, and the tension among all MMA fans is slowly increasing.

The UFC APEX facility in Nevada will see one more interesting show, and the culmination of it will be the bout between Curtis Blaydes and Alexander Volkov, two heavyweights who hope to see them in a title fight in the ner future.

Even though Blaydes is a massive favorite according to the bookies, thigs won’t be easy for him in Saturday’s clash. He has a strong and experienced opponent across the octagon, who is eager to erase his recent minus earned against Derrick Lewis.

Curtis Blaydes (13-2 MMA, 8-2 UFC) is one of the fighters who is considered to be the most talented in the division. His lone two defeats in career came against Francis Ngannou, the most recent in November 2014, with Blaydes suffering a first-round TKO.

After that, he won three matches in a row, the last one against Junior dos Santos in January this year. He hopes to cement his position as one of the next title challengers because he sits No.3 among the heavyweights right now.

On the other side, Volkov (31-7 MMA, 5-1 UFC) has won six wins in the last seven fights, and that single loss came against Derrick Lewis in a match where he had the lead throughout the entire time on the scorecards. Yet, with ten seconds before the end, he lost focus for one moment, and Lewis desperate punch sent the Russian to the canvas.

Volkov needs to win here, and to jump back into the saddle if he wants to improve his rankings in the division, as he occupies No.7 right now.

In other matches, the fans have the opportunity to see the featherweight bout between Josh Emmett and Shane Burgos. Raquel Pennington and Marion Reneau are bringing a very interesting women’s bantamweight fight.

Also, we have welterweight clash Belal Muhammad vs. Lyman Good, which should be according to multiple experts, arguably the most interesting fight of the night. The last match of the main card is the one between Jim Miller and Roosevelt Roberts (160 lbs).
