Manchester United and Chelsea are in the Champions League, while Watford got relegated to the Championship after the last English Premier League round.
The Red Devils and the Blues posted wins today, both of them 2-0. Solskjaer’s guys were better than the Foxes on the road, securing the third place in a direct encounter with the rival who also had a chance to reach the most prominent European competition.
It was a tough game in which both goals came in the late part of the game and after the mistakes of Leicester‘s players. At first, Jonny Evans and Wes Morgan tripped Anthony Martial in the box, after which United got the penalty. Bruno Fernandes was the executor.

After that, Leicester went all or nothing, but conceded another goal in the stoppage time, once Kasper Schmeichel made a terrible mistake, allowing Lingard to set the final result.
Chelsea’s late first-half blitzkrieg at Stamford Bridge was enough to take down Wolves. Mason Mount opened the show with a fantastic free-kick, and minutes later, Olivier Giroud doubled the lead, which was, in the end, the final result.
Blues ended fourth, while United finished third, leaving Leicester on place No.5, even though they had quite an edge over the other rivals before the COVID-19 hiatus.

The losers of the day are Watford’s players who needed one point to jump over Aston Villa and stay in the Premiership. The Hornets lost 3-2 at Emirates against Arsenal, in a match where they had chances to equalize and save themselves from the relegation.
Meanwhile, Aston Villa took one point in London against West Ham, 1-1 in a game which saw two late goals in the span of few minutes, The Villains survived in the end, and we will see a big Birmingham derby next year between them and West Brom Albion.

Tottenham snapped one point at Selhurst against Crystal Palace, 1-1, and Southampton defeated Sheffield United 3-1. Burnley lost at home to Brighton and Hove Albion, 1-2.
