The LA Clippers blew away the Golden State Warriors, 130-104 tonight, showing that the All-Star pause suited them well.

Tyronn Lue’s side was dominant in the middle two frames, once they outscored the guests from the Bay Area 76-41. It was the main reason why they stopped a three-game losing streak, started before the All-Star.

Clippers were excellent in almost every aspect of play, making easy stops on the other end, while being solid in the attack. Every player on the roster appeared and scored in tonight’s event.

Kawhi Leonard led the way with 28 points and nine rebounds, while shooting five-for-seven from deep, 10-for-17 overall. The Claw also had four assists and three steals, all that in 31 minutes of play.

Paul George had a quiet night with 17 points, seven boards, and five assists with three steals. He played just 27 minutes. Serge Ibaka posted a double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds, six of them in the offense, while Lou Williams dropped 14 off the bench.

Meanwhile, the Warriors had seven double-digit players, but they suffered a heavy loss. Andrew Wiggins and Kelly Oubre Jr both had 15 buckets, which was a team-high for the guests. Three players had 14 points each, Jordan Poole, James Wiseman, and Steph Curry, who had another mediocre shooting night.

The two-time NBA MVP made just one of his eight three-point attempts, and was 6-for-16 from the field. Curry managed to add four boards and three assists in 27 minutes played.

This is the fourth straight loss for the Warriors, who now have 19 wins and losses each. Steve Kerr’s side is still in the race for the playoffs, sitting 10th in the Western Conference, one win away from the Dallas Mavs, who are eight. The difference between them and the No.5 Denver Nuggets is just three games.

On the other side, after three defeats that closed the Clippers’ first half of the season, this victory comes as a refreshment. But it is not important only in terms of boosting the morale, but also due to LAC’s race for a better position in the conference. Right now, they have 25 wins and 14 losses, slightly behind the city rivals, Lakers, and one and a half-game behind the second-placed Phoenix Suns.
