Chan Sung Jung and Dan Ige clash in an extremely promising UFC featherweight clash. The two contenders have run into a bump over the recent times, slowing down their rush towards the title shot. Knowing the competition in this division, the loser would definitely be out of contention.

The Korean Zombie is one of the biggest entertainers in the history of the organization. He is arguably the most decorated person when it comes to bonuses for the fight of the night, KO of the night, and those sorts of stuff. On top of everything, he holds on Submission of the Year award.

Jung is a ferocious puncher who has KO potential in both of his fists, and once he starts to hit the target, there aren’t many fighters who are able to endure that. He often starts an open war in the middle of the octagon, which is why everyone likes him.

After beating Renato Moicano and Frankie Edgar via 1st round knockouts, he lost to Brian Ortega via unanimous decision, the main event of the night back in October 2020.

Dan Ige 15-3 (-105)

Ige had six straight wins before losing to Calvin Kattar in July last year, and that was the bout that stopped his rise on the rankings, possibly even prevented his title shot. He did bounce back with a 1st round KO over Gavin Tucker in March this year, but we’ll see if Ige improved his overall skills against Jung.

Same as Jung, Ige likes to enter an open fight, and his cardio and chin are pretty helpful in those situations because he is extremely endurable. At 29 years of age, the Dynamite, as the fans call him, is in superb shape, which has earned him many wins so far.

Many suggest that the next two years are going to decide he will become a champion or not. Either he evolves into an elite featherweight or stays in the sea of mediocrity.

Jung vs. Ige Prediction and Pick

In our opinion in this fight, the only certain thing is that it won’t reach to see all five rounds. This event has everything it takes not to go to distance—two heavy-handed punchers who like to exchange strikes in the middle of the ring. The odds on this are very good, -110. Don’t go with betting on the winner because it could go either way. Our pick is more reliable.
