The Miami Dolphins got their first win of the season, and they did it in nationally televised Thursday Night Football. The Fins defeated Jacksonville Jaguars, 31-13, with Ryan Fitzpatrick setting an interesting milestone along with his excellent performance,

Fitzmagic, as the fans call the 37-year old, managed to beat the Jaguars with six different teams, including tonight’s victory with the Dolphins. He is the first player to do something like this in NFL history.

Previously, he did that with the Bengals, Bills, Titans, Texans, and the Jets. On this TNF, Fitzpatrick threw two TDs and ran for one more. His productivity was superb, completing 18 of his 20 passes, for 160 yards, having 12 straight completions in the beginning.

The veteran also added 38 yards on the ground in seven rushes to complete his excellent night.

Miami set the tone right away, scoring on the first drive of the night, with Preston Williams’ three-yard catch. They would go on to add two more touchdowns on the next two possessions, and by the halftime, the guests were up 21-7.

Jordan Howard had a one-yard run with 2:37 left inside the first for 14-0, and Fitz found Mike Gesicki for a 15-yard TD with 5:58 until the halftime. In between, we saw James Robinson carrying the football into the endzone

Fitzpatrick himself delivered a score with 2:01 to go in the third. It was a one-yard rush for 28-7.

Robinson scored the second of the night for the Jags, and it was also after a one-yard run. Brandon Wright’s extra-point conversion failed, and the franchise from Jacksonville stayed at 13 points until the end. Meanwhile, Jason Sanders managed to make a 30-yard FG to set the final result.

Gardner Minshew had a poor night with 275 yards, 30-for-42, but without a TD, being picked once. Jags’ QB suffered four sacks for 29 negative yards, and fumbled the ball once. Robinson, who had two scores posted 46 rushing yards on 11 carries, but he had 83 in 6 receptions and was by far the best player in Jacksonville.

Among the Dolphins, Myles Gaskin ran the ball 22 times for 66 yards, adding 29 through the air.

Up next, we have the Fins meeting the Seattle Seahawks at home on October 4, and after that traveling to San Francisco seven days later.

The Jags pay a visit to the No.1 pick from this year’s draft Joe Burrow and his Bengals the following week, and right after that, jump to Houston to meet the Texans.
