The biggest and the nicest surprise of the whole Champions League still lives. Ajax Amsterdam has eliminated Juventus and reached the semifinals of the most prominent European soccer competition tonight.
The Lancers defeated the massive favorites with 1-2 in Turin, clinching a colossal triumph, and doing what just a few people hoped for.
It was a brilliant match at Allianz Stadium tonight. Juventus grabbed the lead, but the guest from the Netherlands managed to come back and to turn around the situation on the court, extending their dream.

A fantastic mindset of the youngsters from Amsterdam, outplayed the experienced Italians, who were one of the biggest favorites to win the entire competitions.
Cristiano Ronaldo broke the silence in the 28th minute, scoring after a corner kick. Ronaldo smashed the header from the edge of the goalkeeper area and ignited the fans at Allianz Stadium.
Everybody thought that the young Ajax team would go down, but they showed character and composure which needs to be credited.
Donny van de Beek tied the score some seven minutes after that, and brought in the excitement into this event.
Nothing else happened until the end of the halftime, as both sides kept their defensive lines tight and decided not to attack, but to be careful.
As soon as the second half started, there was only one team on the field, and that was Ajax. The guests were much better than the Old Lady, and there was nothing the Italian side could do. Tadic, Neres, and the rest of the Ajax’s young squad were flying all over the court, which eventually brought results.

Matthijs de Ligt, one of the most talented defenders in Europe, scored after a fantastic header in the 67th minute, and secured the advance of his team into the Champions League final four.
In the second game of the night, Barcelona easily defeated Manchester United with 3-0 at Camp Nou, Lionel Messi with two and Philipe Coutinho with one goal, broke the resistance of the guests, who couldn’t perform miracles tonight. The Blaugrana was simply too strong. United is now turning their attention towards the domestic championship, and the race for the top four and the place in the Champions League.
